Recently, Jessica Simpson was photographed wearing a t-shirt that had “Real Girls Eat Meat” printed across the front which is a odd fashion choice for anyone over the age of 12, much less someone who is worth millions.

And while PETA people are outraged! over the shirt, folks who don't take things quite so literally are thinking the statement is a dig at boyfriend Tony Romo’s ex-girlfriend, Carrie Underwood — who not only shuns meat but who has twice been named World’s Sexiest Vegetarian by PETA.

Well, the animal rights group PETA is throwing down and now calling Jessica “Stupid” and blogging their indignation left and right:

"For a gal who's best known for her less-than-stellar brains (Chicken of the Sea, anyone?) and her ability to proportionately fill out daisy dukes, I'm gonna go on record saying that if anyone had to wear a ridiculous shirt like this, I'm glad it was Jessica — as people are more likely to follow the opposite of her lead," a PETA blogger wrote. "Maybe the meat-eaters of the world will be embarrassed to be categorized in the same field as Jessica Simpson."
